Where is trust

I still can not get over the gist,I mean with our exposure and education, ridiculous beliefs and tradition are still being applied to women and why not men too.I just heard the case of a poor lady who just got wedded to her lover of four years a month ago and her husband asked her to follow him to his village to greet his relations who attended their wedding in Lagos and not knowing that the man had a mission. It was after they got back to base that the man informed her that the local drink and colanut used by his elders in the village to pray for her and which they asked her to eat and drink mean more than ordinary. She got to know that what they did was initiation to his family tradition which is done on all the wives in the family to prevent them from looking outside(straying) and that he doesnt want to hide it from her so that she can know and guide against occurence and if ever does, she will die except she confess and certain sacrifices done.I just cant understand why some men can go to any extent to proctect their territory and why those stupid thing are not done on men too.Why will a man do jazz on his wife in order to make her faithful to him?

Behaviour like this does not just start one day, a man usually hints to you along the line if he is a "native fowl". Some women like to ignore the little warning signs and then begin to cry foul later.

Women are not always the victims!

it goes to show that women are still and will be in the minority group.....unfortunately,it is a man's world, babe!
remember, the yorubas put "maagun"on their women too, even till today.

That man is a Native fowl indeed.he did not love the woman, she was just a property he newly acquired, how could you treat someone you love like that?
Hope he get to read this!

Sometimes it hard to break tradition. Maybe he was under pressure to do that. Who knows, but it's still not right though

shameful or should i say shameless.
she should not believe the "pressured into" crap, he could have refused.
anywho, a lot of the jazzing crap are psychological more than anything else, her real concern should be the components of the concoction they gave her to drink.
she has no reason to fret as long as she has no intent of stepping out..
more importantly she should trust in God for protection. Psalm 91.."He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty...
